TN Orthopaedic Society Advocates for Changes in State Opioid Legislation

TN Orthopaedic Society Advocates for Changes in State Opioid Legislation

Changes in Tennessee law regarding Opioid prescribing are having a disruptive impact on Tennessee Orthopaedic Surgeons’ practices. The Tennessee Orthopaedic Society is here to advocate for its members, which include YOU. As such, the TOS board is working to develop a communication platform that will allow TOS members to provide input and guidance.

We realize there are many questions regarding the impact this will have on the practice of medicine and each practice is working on developing its own response. We realize the personalization of the approach for prescribing and want to support our members in their approach to complying with this new legislation.

This year’s Annual Meeting on August 24 and 25 will include a session dedicated to OPIOID prescribing and will provide an excellent opportunity for discussion and exchange.
